Automotive Technicians And Apprentices
Job Summary:
As an Automotive Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of experienced automotive technicians to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a certified automotive technician. This role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a passion for the automotive industry, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Technicians:
- Work closely with certified technicians to gain hands-on experience.
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems and performing repairs.
- Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
2. Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on vehicles.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards and meets manufacturer specifications.
3. Learning and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and repair guides.
4. Customer Service:
- Communicate with customers to understand their vehicle issues and concerns.
- Provide updates to customers on the status of their vehicle repairs.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous interactions.
5. Shop Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in keeping the workshop and tools in good condition.
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations.
6. Stellantis Technical training.
- staying up to date with available training provided by the vehicle manufacture, in which includes all online web based and in person training when available.
Qualifications:
- Valid 310s license or registered apprentice.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in or completion of an automotive apprenticeship program
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
