The “Twelve 4 Twelve” adventure continues for Jeep with the Wrangler 85th Anniversary Edition. It is the third of twelve special models created to celebrate the brand’s 85th anniversary.

There’s no creative name or bold new feature this time around. Jeep has chosen to keep things simple. At least, that’s the impression the automaker gives from the outside, because the designers allowed themselves a bit of fun inside the cabin.

Plaid Patterns

The first thing that catches your eye when opening the door of the Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary Edition is the seatbacks, which are adorned with a plaid pattern—the kind of detail you would normally expect to find in a classic Porsche. It’s certainly not for everyone, I’ll admit, but personally, I like it quite a lot.

The plaid pattern can also be found in several other areas inside the Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary Edition, notably on the instrument panel and on the center armrest between the front seats. The model also features “85th” logos inside the cup holders and on the gear shifter. On paper, these additions may seem minor, but it’s worth remembering that the Jeep Wrangler is already a very special vehicle to begin with. It boasts numerous hidden and exclusive details, and the elements added by this new 85th Anniversary special edition are simply the icing on the cake.

On the outside, the Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary Edition can be identified by its Agave Blue badges, stunning Oxidized Steel–colored wheels, and bronze-painted tow hooks.

This new special edition clearly has everything it needs to appeal to nostalgic enthusiasts. I don’t know about you, but I’m especially looking forward to seeing what the American automaker has in store for us next month.
